The month of November is dedicated to the souls in Purgatory
ALL SAINTS’ DAY
“…I saw a huge number, impossible to count, of people from every nation, race, tribe and language; they were standing in front of the throne and in front of the Lamb, dressed in white robes and with palms in their hands” (Rev. 7:9).
This feast celebrates all the unknown saints who are now in Heaven. Sanctity is within everyone’s reach; through the Communion of Saints each part of the Mystical Body of Christ helps every other to grow in holiness. All holy men and women, pray for us!
COMMEMORATION OF ALL THE FAITHFUL DEPARTED (All Souls’ Day)
I am the Resurrection and the Life. If anyone believes in me, even though he dies, he will live. Anyone who lives and believes in me, will not die for ever.” (Jn 11: 25–26).
After celebrating the feast of All Saints, the Church prays today for all who, in the purifying suffering of Purgatory, await the day they will join in heavenly glory. Eternal rest grant unto them, o Lord, and may your light shine upon them! Amen.
