Let us remain in the Spirit of Christ’s Resurrection and Easter joy.
I would like to thank and congratulate all those who contributed their free time and talents preparing the Holy Week and Easter ceremonies, especially the Parish Liturgy Group, the Parish Choir, those involved in the preparation and acting during the Lord’s Passion on Good Friday and all volunteers and Sister Jeannette for cleaning and decorating our beautiful church. To all of you: A BIG THANK YOU!
The month of May is dedicated in a special way to the Blessed Virgin Mary, the most beautiful among all the flowers of God’s creation.
Isn’t it strange to you that not even one of the Gospels says anything about the appearance of the Risen Christ to His beloved Mother Mary, especially to her who sacrificed all her life and suffered more than anyone else? Strange! Very strange!
Personally, I am sure that Jesus did show Himself to Mary after his Resurrection. And I am sure that He did it in the very first place, before appearing to anyone else! But as Mary always did, she kept everything in her heart!
Let us devote ourselves, our families and our lives to the Virgin Mary and pray to her, the best of all mothers. In our grotto in the garden we will celebrate the Holy Eucharist in honour of the Blessed Virgin at the beginning of the month (Thursday 1 May) and on Tuesday 13 May. On Saturday 31 May, the feast of the Visitation of the BVM, a special Mass will be celebrated at 5.00 pm to conclude the month dedicated to our Mother. Come let us sing together “Ave, Ave, Ave Maria”.
