Fr. Danielemosé Schroder was born on 24 September, 1947 to parents who had both studied psychology in the university. After graduating from college, he worked 3 years as a psycho-educational therapist/teacher and, simultaneously, as a nursing assistant in Intensive Care Unit/Critical Care Unit in a hospital in Savannah, Georgia. Afterwards he went to New York City where he worked for the NY Board of Education and became a registered nurse for psychiatric nursing and obtained a Master of Science degree in teaching emotionally disturbed children. He entered religious life with the Blessed Sacrament Congregation which was very interested, at that time, in opening a community of Eucharistic adoration in Jerusalem. While he was in a Chicago seminary, the Jerusalem group decided to close their house on the Mount of Olives, and he asked to join the Franciscan Custody of the Holy Land. He finished his studies in Jerusalem in 1991. His ministry in pastoral counselling continued with his studies in psychology and he worked in Jaffa, Israel for 17 years. He has been at Holy Cross Parish since 2013.
