ANNOUNCEMENTS FOR HOLY WEEK AND EASTER SUNDAY

From Holy Monday 26th April to Easter Sunday 2nd May
Please read carefully the following announcements regarding Holy Week celebrations to comply with Government’s restrictions and guidelines.
1. From Holy Monday to Holy Friday up to 50 people will be allowed inside the church, but only those that can present a vaccine certificate dated back at least three weeks.
Unvaccinated members of the public will be allowed to attend mass in church courtyards but will have to be seated and observe social distancing and other health protocols (wearing the masks).
The times of our Liturgies from Holy Monday to Good Friday will be:
Monday at 6:30 pm
Tuesday at 6:30 pm
Wednesday at 6:30 pm
Holy Thursday at 6:00 pm
Good Friday at 6:00 pm
2. As regards the Easter Vigil on Holy Saturday, again, up to 50 people will be allowed inside the church but on this occasion, not only people who have been vaccinated but everyone. The Liturgy will be at 6:30 pm. Seats will be set up in the garden and in front of the church: it will not be allow to stand.
3. On Easter Sunday of the Resurrection, up to 50 people will be allowed inside the church with the vaccination certificate. Unvaccinated faithful will be allowed to attend mass in church courtyards but they will have to be seated.
To allow more worshipers to attend the Easter Mass we will have the regular Sunday schedule on Easter Sunday as follows:
8:00 am English Mass (in the garden)
9:30 am Greek Mass (in the garden)
9:30 am Greek Mass (in the garden)
10:30 am English Mass (in the church live stream)
12:00 noon French Mass (in the garden)
1:00 pm Sri Lankan Mass (in the garden)
6:30 pm English Mass (in the garden)
1:00 pm Sri Lankan Mass (in the garden)
6:30 pm English Mass (in the garden)
4. The church will remain open as usual for personal prayer, with up to 10 people allowed inside the church at any one time.
Governmental guidelines dictated that during the two weeks (26 April – 9 May 2021) the public will be allowed a single outing via text message per day. This will not apply on Easter Sunday, when two text messages will be permitted.
EXEMPTION
Movement without sending a text message is permitted for transferring to places of worship, only during the Holy Week (26 April – 2 May), only during Divine Liturgy hours.
