On 1 October 2023 H.B. Cardinal PIERBATTISTA PIZZABALLA celebrated the Holy Eucharist at the Basilica of Santa Maria Maggiore in Rome at 12 midday which was followed by a reception on the occasion of his elevation to the Cardinalate. Faithful from our parish and Cyprus were also there and a gift was presented to him (an Icon of Christ – Mosaic from Cyprus) on behalf of our Parish of the Holy Cross with our prayers and best wishes – see below.
